Hainan Oud, native to Southeast China, Hainan Oud differs from the more commonly used eaglewood (primarily from Indonesia and Brunei) in Oriental perfumes. While eaglewood often carries a heavy animalic scent, Hainan Oud offers a lighter, more relaxing woody profile. The supercritical carbon dioxide extraction method captures the most vivid and authentic essence of this natural oud.
Frankincense, the word Frankincense derives from the Old French expression franc encens, meaning 'high-quality incense.' Highly prized in Ancient Egypt, it was believed to ascend directly to heaven in many Christian traditions. In the 11th century, the Maritime Silk Road between Oman and China was also known as the Maritime Frankincense Road. The name comes from the Arabic word al-lubán (meaning 'milk'), describing the resin drops that resemble milk.
