Citrus Junos, native to the Yangtze River valley in China, was introduced to Japan via the Korean Peninsula during the Nara period. Typically used in cooking rather than perfumery, this ingredient was chosen by the perfumer for its bittersweet character, evoking, in a father’s eyes, the image of his daughter—both lovely and unique.
Haitian Vetiver, in the perfumer’s view, the most subtle and elegant raw material. Positioned at the heart of the fragrance’s base notes, it remains understated, symbolizing the father’s role in his daughter’s life as a reliable and steadfast figure.
